Dr. Derek Townsend

Dentist

Dr. Townsend was raised on Vancouver Island and attended the University of Victoria where he studied Biology. He then made the move to mainland Vancouver for dental school which he completed at UBC in 1989, followed by a general practice residency at BC Children's Hospital. Before making the move to Winfield, Dr. Townsend spent two years practicing all forms of general dentistry in a rural Williams Lake dental office. Dr. Townsend came to Lake Country in 1992 and established Lake Country Family Dentistry in 1994, and he has been providing dental care to this amazing community ever since.
